FALSE. It is estimated that in 2009, 1,910 cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in men.
While less than 1% of new breast cancer diagnoses occur among men, it is still a possibility for men to develop the disease. Of the approximate 40,610 deaths from breast cancer this year, around 440 of them will be men. For males, the lifetime risk of getting breast cancer is about 1/10th of 1%.
Take Action

Although the odds are not overwhelming for men, it is important to focus on what causes this disease and join the mission to end breast cancer.
